Summer treats for your dog

During the warmer months it’s important that we keep our pets cool and comfortable. One way to do this is to add ice to their water bowls, ensure they have a shaded area at all times to escape the sun, or by providing them with a shallow pool to cool off in.

For dogs, another great way to help keep them cool is by adding frozen dog friendly fruits to their water bowls. Ensure the fruit that you select is safe for dogs and chop it into safe, bite sized pieces for your sized dog. After freezing the fruit chunks, add them to the water to soften up for a few minutes before offering them to your pet so they don’t hurt their teeth on a hard chunk of ice. Always supervise them as they eat.
